Black Oystercatcher - Arch Cape Rocks

from Oregon Soundscapes by John Hartog

A minus tide at sunrise, and by luck a windless morning. The Black Oystercatcher (Haematopus bachmani) dropped down from the sea stack and called as it circled the rocky tide-pooled shore. Recorded at Arch Cape, Clatsop County, Oregon, June 01 2008, 05:15 am.
