Streamside Dawn
South Fork Crooked River
May 07, 2012 4:12 am
Crook County, Oregon USA

60 minute continuous track - recorded live

Dawn awakens with quiet voices along a murmuring stream then rises with a joyful robin chorus.

Enjoy this hour-long track as an ideal transition from restful meditation to gentle awakening with an energetic finish.
Great for waking up in the morning!

4:12 a.m. Beside the flowing stream, all is quiet but faint calls of great-horned owls and brief announcements from awakening songbirds.
4:33 a.m. Before long, in the surrounding grove of western juniper, Townsend Solitaires or other thrushes begin stirring with song. The dawn chorus enlivens as the morning brightens.
5:03 a.m. Water riffles as a creature wades by and climbs onto the grassy riverbank.
5:12 a.m. End of track.

Recorded in high-quality digital stereo using specialized soundscape microphones. Extra care was taken to present periods of time with minimal human-caused noise.

Location: Crook County, Oregon, USA
Weather: calm and clear
Temperature: ≈ 30° F (-1° C)
